Mad Max

The seminal film in the Mad Max franchise had a budget of only AU$400,000. All of the leathers worn by the MFP were actually made of vinyl, with the exception of Goose’s.

Many of the film’s motorcycle jackets are based on the same pattern: the MFP, Bubba Zanetti and even Cundalini wear jackets made from the same pattern.

The subtle use of sports equipment on the Toecutter gang’s costumes could have influenced Norma Moriceau’s iconic mohawker costumes in the sequel.
